Have you ever wanted musicians from different bands to set up a band/project? Now you can create Smile such band!! The only rule is that two (or more) members from the same band can't be there, just one member from each one. jocolor

Drums: Tomas Haake (Meshuggah)
Guitar: James Hetfield (for the flawless down-picking ability) - (Metallica)
Bass: Alex Webster (one of the most technically proficient bass players in this generation) - (Cannibal Corpse)
Vocals: Matt Heafy (Trivium)
Keys: Jordan Rudess, I guess? (Dream Theater)

I have two dream bands.

The first one is kind of a extreme superband, really :

-Mikael Akerfeldt : lead guitar, vocals
-Ihsahn : rythm guitar, keyboards, vocals
-Steve di Giorgio : bass (preferably fretless of course)
-Blake Richardson : drums

The other one is more mellow but... well, check it out :

-Russel Allen : vocals
-John Petrucci : guitars
-Leland Sklar : bass
-Arjen Lucassen : guitar, keyboards
-Terry Bozzio : drums

And here's my dead guys band, just for ther fuck of it :

-Freddie : vocals
-Dime : guitars
-Jaco : bass
-Jeff (Porcaro) : drums

That would be some classic line-up, huh ? What a Face

Haha, no need for a last name...they're THAT good!

And, what band does Steve di Giorgio play in? I've heard nothing but great things about this guy, and his use of fretless in metal. I want to use my fretless more, and hopefully I can learn a lot from this guy.

I just came up with a great neo-prog allstar band :

-Oliver Philipps (eVeron) - Keyboards, guitars, vocals
-Steve Rothery (Marillion) - Guitars
-D.C. Cooper (ex-Royal Hunt, Amaran's Plight) - Vocals
-Chris Maitland (ex-Porcupine Tree, Guilt Machine) - Drums
-John Jowitt (IQ, Frost*) - Bass

I guarantee these guys could produce some truly marvelous music !

WOAH! His drumming in 'On This Perfect Day' was cool, especially in 'Grean and Cream'.
