I've always been partial to drums with shorter depths. On my next kit, I'd really like to have either a 20x14 or 20x16 kick and toms that are all 1" shorter than "standard" depths. The one issue that I've always had with Tama's hyperdrive kits is the difference in depth between the rack and floor toms. In my opinion, the floor toms should be significantly shorter than they are. But other than that, I think it's a great kit.

well, i have the opposite feeling.
I have the feeling that the rack toms are a bit to small. but of course it's a matter of preferation. Our band's music is more more metal-ish than jazz.

but its sound is amazing. i've never heared such a sound before, for drums.

still, when i have enough money, i'm gonna let Tama make me a custom drumkit

but for the next few years... this will surely do!

those two look very nice indeed!

but for me, and that's jut what you want :p, the toms are a bit too small. i prefer the deeper sound of a drum.

but this one looks damn nice
